Our Purpose: The purpose of the Cherokee Charmers Booster Club (CCBC) is to promote and perpetuate the interest of the Waxahachie Independent School District's (WISD) endeavor to operate a successful program of fine arts participation for students in the junior high and high school drill teams also known as The Cherokee Charmers, Maidens, Coleman Chey-Annes, Finley Chey-Annes and Howard Chey-Annes (WISD Dancers) and their Directors.

We invite all WISD Dance Families to attend our monthly booster club meetings!

What is a Booster Club?

Booster Clubs are created by parents to provide support for school programs.

Is membership required in order for my child to benefit for the Booster Club?

Parents are not required to be members of the CCBC for their Dancer to participate in CCBC activities. The proceeds from fundraisers or other activities held by CCBC are almost entirely for the benefit of the students involved in WISD Drill Team programs.

Is the Booster Club owned by the school district?

CCBC operates autonomously of the WISD as a separate legal organization even though we exist solely to support the WISD Drill Team program. CCBC is considered a “business” and a separate legal entity apart from the school district, in the state of Texas, we are not considered government entity.

How do I join?

Membership is available to all legal parents/guardians’ students in WISD’s drill teams: Charmers, Maidens and Chey-Annes. Please contact our Secretary Sarah Lopez for more information on how to join. Guests/Public are welcome to attend our meetings, members are allowed to vote.

Do members pay dues?

CCBC Dues are $20/year.
